What : New Narcotics Anonymous Meeting in Park Rapids

When: Wednesday’s at 6 p.m.
Where: St. Joseph’s Hospital (Lower Level conference rooms B&C)
Why: Because one addict can best understand and help another addict This is an open meeting of Narcotics Anonymous. Our Identification as addicts is all inclusive with respect to any mood-changing, mind altering substance. Our problem is not a specific substance, it is a disease called addiction. If you are not an addict but interested in learning more about Narcotics Anonymous please feel free to call the contact number for further information or come to the meeting. We do ask that if you don’t identify yourself as an addict, to please refrain from sharing during the meeting.

First Step
First Step - Walker serves both adolescents and adults, both male and female, with separate groups for each.
First Step - Walker employs 3 LADC's with special emphasis and training in adolescent care.
First Step - Walker Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors have various degrees specializing in Social Work, Certified Rule
25 Assessors, Masters Degree in Education, B.S. Criminal Justice, Masters level Counselor and Native American
Traditional Counselor/Spiritual Advisor/Elder.
First Step - Walker employs four Substance Abuse Technicians, consulting medical personnel, consulting psychologist and
may involve volunteers.
Transportation will be provided to and from First Step - Walker by request. Transportation will be from a central
location to be determined by client needs.

Stellher Human Services
Outpatient Treatment
This program offers out-patient chemical dependency treatment and chemical use assessments. Treatment is provided by licensed alcohol and drug counselors.
12 -21 years of age with chemical abuse or dependency as well as mental health issues. Staff is available for assessments, intakes, referrals, consultation, treatment and support. When treatment for mental health issues is needed, this will be integrated into the individual’s treatment plan and necessary
referrals will be made.

'New Spirit' Center
The Oshki Manidoo "New Spirit" Center provides a holistic, culturally specific approach to promote healing from substance abuse, trauma, mental health, family, and identity issues including disconnection from community. Cultural foundations will be the basis of treatment
emphasizing culturally sensitive models of treatment and evidence based interventions for youth to promote healthy living and reconnection with family and community.
